Dentistry is an ever-advancing discipline, with new and better techniques and instruments arriving continuously. We stay on the cutting edge in order to offer our patient’s higher-quality, more comfortable and less time-consuming service.
But even the best technology is pointless without the human factor. This is why we treat our patients as we would want to be treated. You will find that every interaction with our staff is characterized by compassion, respect, and friendliness.
Here are a few of the technological highlights that we use to bring convenience to our patients:
Trios 3D Intraoral Scanner
Trios is not a magic wand, but it might as well be. Dr. Todd employs this small device to make a rapid and comfortable 3D image of the inside of your mouth. It’s digital mapping at its finest. The Trios system can be used for orthodontics, bridges, dental implants, and more. Best of all, it completely replaces the yucky, messy, putty-like impression material of the past. No more cold, slimy goop in your mouth!
Digital X-rays
Sure, x-rays are important in dentistry as they allow Dr. Todd to see inside your teeth and catch problems early, but digital x-rays provide several additional advantages to our patients. First, these x-rays use significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays, benefiting your long-term health and safety. Also, digital x-rays are ready faster as there is no need for developing. Finally, digital x-rays offer a generally higher resolution, making it easier to spot trouble.
Intraoral Camera
We understand x-rays are hard to read sometimes. Which is why we have a tiny intraoral camera that can take pictures inside your mouth. Seeing is believing! In addition to being fun, this device permits Dr. Todd to point out areas of interest so that you can easily follow along with your treatment plan or procedure.
Isolite System
Our Isolite™ patient comfort system allows you to rest your jaw during your dental treatment which eliminates the need for cotton rolls. Isolite also illuminates your mouth giving Dr. Todd a clearer view of your mouth and his work. The best part is that Isolite’s self-aspirating technology makes suction and rinse breaks a thing of the past!
Soft Tissue Laser
You can’t get more futuristic than lasers! Our soft tissue laser not only speeds up procedures but reduces pain and increases the rate of healing after dental surgery.
Oral ID
Oral ID uses a proven, optically based technology called, “fluorescence technology.” Oral ID’s fluorescence technology uses a blue light (435–460 nm) that provides Dr. Todd and his team an aid in visualization of oral cancer, pre-cancer, and other abnormal lesions. We advise all of our adult patients to have an Oral Cancer Screening at least once a year.
